Nichola is the former Chief Executive of ROCC (May 2003 – March 2010), where she was responsible for the leadership and management of the Charity. 

During her time with ROCC Nichola was actively involved in consultancy work carried out by the Charity. This included research on behalf of the ODPM ‘Consulting at a Strategic Level with Hard to Reach Service Users’ and setting up of Service User Reference Groups in Hampshire, Portsmouth, and the Isle of Wight, Strategic Reviews for provider organistaions, best value reviews; service user involvement strategies and support in strategic reviews for Local Authority Supporting People Teams.

Nichola also set up the trading subsidiary of the Charity to allow the organisation to take on more varied work; this includes undertaking the accreditation process for SP on behalf of the 20 Local Authorities in and around London. 

Nichola has written and delivered training on the personalisation of service and wrote an article for the Housing Quality Network (HQN) on the issues that providers must consider when preparing for personalisation. She has provided support to all levels within orgaisations from frontline to the Board of Trustees as organisations begin to develop services under the personalisation agenda.

Nichola is experienced in producing business plans and detailed budgets for programme delivery and with a background in fundraising she is also well versed in supporting charitable organisations to raise funds.  She has a good and clear knowledge of charity and company law and the requirements of organisations to fulfil their aims and objectives.
